I unwillingly attended my first class angry but to my surprise I loved it and wanted more. I started twice a week and made friends right away. My friends told me I could take 3 classes per day, 6 days a week and that is exactly what I did. Six months later I tested for my first belt. Master Lee placed me in front of the class counting kicks. At blue belt Master Lee allowed me to teach white belt juniors.

In 1976 Master Lee chose 12 high ranking belts (including myself), 2 black belts, 12 children and 3 adults to demonstrate in KOREA. There I was in front of thousands at the Korean Dome for six weeks. I was 16 years old and returned to America to test for my first black belt before Master Young Kim, Master Bong Soo Han and Master Lee.

In 1997, I began training under Fariborz Azhakh. In 1998, tested for my second black belt and owned and operated my first Martial Arts School in Northridge, California successfully for 10 years.

In 2000, I achieved my second degree black belt.

In 2015, I am currently working towards my third degree black belt under Master Saeed Badiei and Senior Instructor/owner of United Karate Centers in Loveland, Colorado.

I am forever grateful to Master Jung Ba Lee, Master Steve Sexton, Master Fariborz Azhakh, Guru Roger Agbuios, MMA Referee Herb Dean, Kick Boxing Champion and Referee Cecil Peoples, Kick Boxing Champion Pete Cunningham, World Kick Boxing Champion Benny "The Jet" Urquidez and Master Saeed Badiei for their major contributions and influence that shaped and improved my skills as an instructor, martial artist and as a person.
